Ontario: children given wrong dose of HINI vaccine

"An Espanola mother is worried about the long-term health implications of her two children receiving an adult-sized dose of the H1N1 vaccine."

'"...Asked about the dangers of receiving an adult sized dose, Sutcliffe said: "As you know, there isn't a lot of data on this vaccine because it is new. I can't say that there have been studies done on this dose in children and the impact..."

"...While they appeared to be fine initially, the children fell ill the next day, exhibiting H1N1 symptoms.
"They've been sick the better part of the week," she said. "They were both pretty sick over the weekend - achy, fever, the younger one has a nasty cough."
Kneer is concerned for her own children, but also for any others who may have also received the wrong dosage at the clinic.."
